We are a bilingual (English / Spanish) Montessori school for ages 3 to 6. "Mi Escuelita Montessori" is conveniently located between Bozeman and Belgrade. Mi Escuelita Montessori’s approach to early childhood education emphasizes a stimulating, prepared environment that offers order, beauty, and didactic materials to help children achieve their true nature: Peaceful, self-confident, happy, and motivated to learn. 

Our school is located in a quiet, semi-rural subdivision on a two-acre lot. We enjoy plenty of outdoor space to do gardening in the spring, water activities in the summer, and outdoor snow activities in the winter. We have chickens that former students have helped to incubate and hatch, and soon the children will be able to collect eggs.   

Teaching Spanish to the children at Mi Escuelita involves not only speaking the language during the day, but also sharing the culture, food, music, stories, and traditions of the Hispanic countries with the children.    

Early exposure to a second language is very important for a child's mental development. The ideal age to learn one or more languages is from birth to 6 years old. Scientific research indicates that early exposure to a second language may actually cause changes in the child's brain -- increased density of gray matter and more neuronal connections -- that enhance the child's intellectual capacity in all mental areas, including seemingly unrelated fields such as mathematics and music.
